A Good Man is Hard to Find

A Good Man is Hard to Find is an interested story and it leaves you wondering what could of happen. I found this story to be boring at first but the end started to get pretty intense. This story was about a family who planed on going on a vacation. The dad of the house wanted to go to Florida but his mom which was the grandmother wanted to take a trip to Tennessee where the family has not been yet. The family all decided that they were going to Florida and that they were not going to change their mind. The grandma decided to tag along after all. But before they made up their mind the grandmother found a article in the newspaper about a misfit who just got out of jail a lose. Nobody cared to realize the danger they would be in. When they arrived to Florida the grandmother was having many flash backs about how life was back then and the memories of this old house that had treasures hidden in it. The children who were in the backseat demanded their dad to go to the house. As they were going down the back road, the grandmother realize that the flashbacks she was having were all from Tennessee and they were in Florida. As they were going back the car had crash. Luckily they were all still alive in the woods stranded. Only if they knew their lives were about to end pretty soon. The children were screaming for help and a car was up the hill decided to come down the hill. In the car was 3 men and they offer to help the family. Two of the men slowly took two of the members of the family in the woods at different times and killed them. The grandma and the one man was left together by themselves. The grandma realized that the man was the misfit and she knew she was going to die but was not prepared to die this soon. She beg the misfit and had long conversations with him so that he could change his mind. The misfit had doubts but he told his men to go kill her and that they did. After the death of the grandmother, the misfit thought to himself that the grandmother would have been a great person. This story has taught me one thing and that is to never go nowhere near a place where you know danger is at. You never know who is who in this world!

The Cask of Amontillado

This story was very complicated to read. I wish it jump straight to the points. This story was about a man name Montresor and another man name Fortunato who loved to drink wine. They were claim to be buddies but only did Fortunato know that Montresor was out for revenge. Fortunato insulted Montresor and in the real world most people who feel insulted or embarrassed always look for a way to get back at that person or take revenge. There was a carnival in town and almost the whole town went. Montresor and Fortunato were both there and in Montresor mind, the carnival was the best place to get revenge. The two were together and Fortunato had been drinking and continued to drink. Montresor told Fortunato that he had some wine back at his place of stay. Fortunato was a little skeptical about it, but Montresor said that he had a lot and that he could show him. He continues to convince Fortunato to come and follow him. All works out and they both arrive. Montresor told Fortunato that the wine was in the dungeon area and as Fortunato went to the back, Montresor would follow him slowly. Once Fortunado was in the back, Montresor chained him to the walls. Fortunato was too drunk to realize what was really going on to him and why was he being chained. Day after day, Montresor would add bricks to this wall he was making so that he could cave Fortunato in. Fortunato said earlier in the story that he would not die by coughing or some sort like that. Montressor plan was for Fortunato to die of thirst and starvation. After Fortunato came to his senses and sobered up, he started to scream and yell. There was no way anyone could hear him or help him. Montresor finished his wall and left Fortunato in there to die. This story has taught me a few things. One do not get drunk in public where nobody cares if you end up missing, you cannot always trust the people you call friends, and think before you speak unto others because you never know how what you said to them effects them. Everyone who say that they are your friend, could possibly be your enemy in disguised.

"The Lone Ranger and Tonto Fistfight in heaven"

This story was about a Native American who wanted to fit in society, but it seems as if all the white people were downing him. He would always encounter a position where he was beat by a white person. He had a girlfriend, who was white and they didn't get along. He would have bad memories about her. I did not get why though. He also used to be very good at basketball and one day he went and practice at the gym. Until later a white kid asked for a one on one. They played a game and he had loss the match against this  white kid. The white boy was actually better than him! A white officer told him that he did not fit into this society, which made him feel even worse about himself. It seem as if every white person was degrading him and he only wanted to fit in. He had a dream that all wives had died. I still do not understand the meaning to that or I cannot seem to find it. The title meaning to this stories says that, he had two personalities.  One personality was that he wanted to fit in with everyone else and the other personality was him facing his fears and not wanting to face his problem. This story happens to many people in the world, just with different situations.
