The Cask of Amontillado

This story was very complicated to read. I wish it jump straight to the points. This story was about a man name Montresor and another man name Fortunato who loved to drink wine. They were claim to be buddies but only did Fortunato know that Montresor was out for revenge. Fortunato insulted Montresor and in the real world most people who feel insulted or embarrassed always look for a way to get back at that person or take revenge. There was a carnival in town and almost the whole town went. Montresor and Fortunato were both there and in Montresor mind, the carnival was the best place to get revenge. The two were together and Fortunato had been drinking and continued to drink. Montresor told Fortunato that he had some wine back at his place of stay. Fortunato was a little skeptical about it, but Montresor said that he had a lot and that he could show him. He continues to convince Fortunato to come and follow him. All works out and they both arrive. Montresor told Fortunato that the wine was in the dungeon area and as Fortunato went to the back, Montresor would follow him slowly. Once Fortunado was in the back, Montresor chained him to the walls. Fortunato was too drunk to realize what was really going on to him and why was he being chained. Day after day, Montresor would add bricks to this wall he was making so that he could cave Fortunato in. Fortunato said earlier in the story that he would not die by coughing or some sort like that. Montressor plan was for Fortunato to die of thirst and starvation. After Fortunato came to his senses and sobered up, he started to scream and yell. There was no way anyone could hear him or help him. Montresor finished his wall and left Fortunato in there to die. This story has taught me a few things. One do not get drunk in public where nobody cares if you end up missing, you cannot always trust the people you call friends, and think before you speak unto others because you never know how what you said to them effects them. Everyone who say that they are your friend, could possibly be your enemy in disguised.
